Remove six nuts (59), six washers (60), and two
packings (61).
Do not let cases separate when
turning hook over, to prevent damage
to equipment, or injury to personnel.
26.
Turn hook (62) over and remove six bolts (63)
and washers (64).
27.
Work front plate (65) loose from rear plate (66).
28.
Remove front plate (66).
29.
Remove fitting (67) from rear plate (66).
30.
Remove two bumpers (68) from fitting (67).
INSPECT
30.1.
Measure outside diameter of boss (68.1) on side
of fitting (67). Diameter of large boss shall not be
less than 1.119 inches. Diameter of small boss
shall not be less than 1.056 inches.
30.2.
Measure inside diameter of bushing (68.2) in
fitting (67). Diameter shall not be more than
1.022 inches.
NOTE
Do not remove bushing unless worn.
30.3.
Remove bushing (66.2) from fitting (67) if
needed. Use arbor press.
31.
Remove two bumpers (69) from rear plate (66).
32.
Remove latch bumper (70) from rear plate (66).
32.1.
Inspect bumpers (68,69, and 70). There shall be
no cracks or loss of material.
