INSTALL ENGINE TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL

Oil (E254) is toxic. It can irritate skin
and cause burns. Avoid inhaling. Use
only with adequate ventilation. Avoid
contact with skin, eyes, or clothing.
In case of contact, immediately flush
skin or eyes for at least 15 minutes.
Get medical attention for eyes.
NOTE
Procedure is similar to install
retainer on left or right transmission.
Installation on right transmission is
shown here. Differences are noted
in steps.

Apply light coat of grease (E190) to lip of seal
(3). Apply light coat of oil (E254) to surface of
shaft (5). Install retainer (1) and packing (6) on
transmission (7).
