11-144)
Do not lubricate any parts of spring
assembly, except as noted; otherwise,
component malfunctions can occur.
NOTE
Wipe all components with dry cloth
(E120).
1.
Clamp bearing end (1) of housing (2) in vise (3).
2.
Remove lockwire from end cap (4).
3.
Remove cap (4) from housing (2). Turn cap
counterclockwise.
4.
Pull rod (5) outward from housing (2). Remove
rod from housing.
